Strengthening Safety Defenses, Preventing Fire Hazards Before They Ignite – Our Company Successfully Completes the 2026 Fire Safety Training and Emergency Drill.
Safety is the cornerstone of enterprise development, and fire safety is paramount among all production safety priorities. To fully implement the primary responsibility for workplace safety, strengthen fire safety awareness across all staff, enhance capabilities in emergency fire response, personnel evacuation, and self-rescue, and prevent and mitigate various fire safety hazards, our company recently organized the 2026 Fire Safety Specialized Training and Live Emergency Drill. All departments and employees actively participated. This activity followed a complete closed-loop process and achieved practical, hands-on results, meeting all expected training and drill objectives.
Learning Through Knowledge – Delivering Targeted Fire Safety Training
In the lead-up to the drill, our company specially invited professional fire safety instructors from the local fire rescue authority to conduct a dedicated training session.
During the training, the instructors covered core topics including current fire safety laws and regulations, identification of common fire risk sources in enterprises, causes and prevention of electrical fires, and management of flammable and explosive materials. They also analyzed typical recent fire accidents in enterprises, providing an in-depth examination of safety incidents caused by improper initial fire response, blocked evacuation routes, and weak emergency awareness – vividly demonstrating the severe consequences of fire safety negligence.
Focusing on employees' daily work scenarios, the instructors broke down three key skill areas:
- Basic Equipment Usage: Detailed demonstrations of the appropriate applications, operating mnemonics ("Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep"), and practical precautions for dry powder extinguishers, CO₂ extinguishers, and indoor fire hydrants, while correcting common operational misconceptions.
- Initial Fire Suppression: Explanation of fire-fighting principles for different fire types, clarifying the logic of "extinguish small fires early, escape from large fires" to avoid casualties from reckless firefighting attempts.
- Fire Evacuation and Self-Rescue: Instruction on practical techniques such as low-crouch crawling in smoke, covering the mouth and nose with a wet towel, identifying evacuation routes, and signaling for help when trapped, along with clarifying evacuation taboos in office areas, stairwells, and fire exits.
Training Through Action – Immersive Live Emergency Drill
Following the theoretical training, all participants entered the live emergency drill phase. This drill simulated a realistic scenario of an electrical short circuit in the office area leading to a rapidly spreading fire, strictly following the full process of "alert and reporting, plan activation, personnel evacuation, fire suppression, scene control, and medical rescue" – highly replicating a genuine fire emergency.
Upon activation of the fire simulation, the company's fire safety management team immediately confirmed the situation, activated the Enterprise Fire Safety Emergency Response Plan, simultaneously called the emergency services number, and issued evacuation orders to all personnel via public address system and emergency whistles. Departmental emergency coordinators promptly took their positions, guiding employees to cover their mouths and noses, bend low, and evacuate quickly and orderly along designated fire routes to the outdoor safe assembly area.
The entire evacuation process was standardized and efficient, with all participants strictly adhering to evacuation discipline – no crowding, lingering, or re-entry violations occurred. After evacuation, assembly area leaders immediately conducted headcounts by department, confirming no personnel were trapped. The total evacuation time met industry safety standards.
In the practical fire extinguishing segment, all employees took turns in groups, under the on-site guidance of professional instructors, to operate extinguishers and hydrants, aiming at simulated fire points and discharging extinguishing agents. Everyone mastered key points such as operating technique and effective discharge distance, effectively eliminating the common problem of "understanding the theory but being unable to apply it," and translating theoretical knowledge into practical combat capability. Additionally, the drill incorporated supplementary exercises including emergency first aid for minor burns and simulated search and rescue of trapped personnel, enhancing the complete emergency response chain.
Review and Summary – Reinforcing Long-Term Safety Management Responsibilities
After the drill, the company's safety management lead conducted a comprehensive review and summary of the training and drill activities. It was once again emphasized that fire safety is no trivial matter, and hazard inspection is an ongoing process. This drill is not a one-off task but an important part of the company's regularized safety management. All departments should take this activity as an opportunity to conduct internal fire hazard self-inspections, focusing on office equipment power usage, power strip wiring, warehouse material stacking, and fire exit accessibility, establishing hazard logs, and completing closed-loop rectifications.
